Jason Dohring
Jason Dohring is the son of Neopets chairman Doug Dohring and wife Lauren, and the eldest of five children. (His siblings are two sets of identical twins–one set of boys, one set of girls; Robert Dohring and Jonathan Dohring, and Kelsey Dohring and Kirsten Dohring. Both set of twins were child actors, as was Dohring. His sisters were notably casted in the role of young Christine Ellen ‘Chrissy’ Seaver in Growing Pains). He is a second-generation Scientologist. He is also an expert skier and also enjoys snowboarding, water skiing, golf and boxing.
He and his wife, Lauren, have been married since July 31, 2004.
Dohring got his start in commercials and then moved onto a number of small roles in movies and television. He has appeared on a number of television series, including Roswell, Cold Case, The Division, Judging Amy, JAG, The Parkers and Boston Public. He has also starred in the feature films Walking on Water, Train Quest, Deep Impact, Black Cadillac, Deep Below and Broken Record, as well as the Disney Channel movie Ready To Run.
He is best known for his role as Southern Californian rich kid Logan Echolls on the television series Veronica Mars. The show, originally shown on UPN until the networks closing & was renewed for a third season in 2006 and on a new network, The CW. In 2006, Dohring was nominated for an Ivy award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Veronica Mars. He has a new straight-to-DVD release that was scheduled to be available in March 2007, The Deep Below.
After the cancellation of Veronica Mars, Dohring has found work with Warner Bros. and CBS, co-starring in the new television series, Moonlight. Joining Sophia Myles in the cast, he will play vampire Josef, a young, mischievous hedge-fund trader.
