Jason Dohring Lands Pilot for the CW

In what sounds like an adaptation of HBO’s Washingtonienne, Jason Dohring has landed the male lead role in the CW’s Body Politic, a series following young up-and-comers in Washington, D.C. Jason will play a reporter for the Washington Post. Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) has been cast as the female lead, a girl from Michigan who relocates to D.C. after her mother dies.

The CW will annnouce their fall schedule, including whether or not they’ve picked up Body Politic, in May.

    I am happy for Jason. I adore him as Josef in Moonlight, and I have missed him so much. If we can’t have Moonlight back, I would at least like to be able to enjoy these marvelous actors and see them get the roles and recognition that they deserve. It actually makes me want to cry to actually see the cast finally starting new work, but I am rooting for them all. They all deserve only the best, and I will be there to love and support anything that they do. Good luck to Jason!!!
